More Than The Essentials
During 2025, we were proud to partner with Healthwatch Dudley to better understand and respond to the needs of our community.
Throughout the year, Healthwatch Dudley visited some of our Dudley-based foodbanks to speak directly with the people who use our services. These conversations gave individuals the chance to share their experiences, talk about what had led them to food insecurity, and explore the support available to help them improve their health and wellbeing.
By listening closely to the voices of local people, this partnership is helping to make sure that individuals not only receive food and essential items, but also the information and support that can empower them to move forward.
“We know that people who use Black Country Foodbank may not always have the time or resources to find the support and services that could make a difference. By working together, we can ensure people have access to vital information and the chance to improve their wellbeing.” – Healthwatch Dudley
What foodbank users shared can be read in the report released by Healthwatch Dudley. The outcomes of this project will be taken forward to help influence our future strategy and shape local services, ensuring they reflect the real challenges faced by people across the Dudley borough.
