Harvest Festival 2024

1st October 2024

It’s that time of year again when we try and replenish our stock ready for the winter, gathering some of the vital items that we need for our food and toiletry parcels.

This winter may be challenging for many, with fuel prices set to rise in October and food costs remaining a persistent issue. Over the past year, we’ve seen a steady increase in the number of adults and children relying on our foodbanks, as the ongoing cost of living crisis leaves many unable to afford basic essentials like food.

Resourced by the Community, for the Community

You are key to helping us fulfil this, generously supporting us during the Harvest Festival with donations of food, toiletries and funding, for which we are incredibly grateful.

If you are able to arrange a collection of food and toiletry items this Harvest, it would be much appreciated.

For ideas on what items we need this year, have a look at our harvest shopping list. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to donate food and toiletries but if you have any questions, please give us a call on 01384 671250.

Donations can be taken to one of our foodbanks, unless it’s a large collection, in which case give us a call on 01384 671250 and we can look to arrange to pick it up.

Every can counts! We are grateful for every single item that is donated especially as so many are experiencing financial challenges. We look forward to your support this harvest.
